Hi everybody !! ;-)
Here's my problem !
I've installed a stand alone server (in order to test the implementation
before deploying !) called "Web" with Windows 2k server SP2 (french
version).
I've updated it through Windows update with all the updates available and
also patched it with the latest security patches.
So my server is really up to date !
It's working great except that I can't go through the certificate install
procedure !
Indeed, when right clicking my IIS5 server site, then selecting "Directory
security" tab, clicking "Server certificate", then "Create a new
certificate" and keeping on like that up to the end of the process, at the
very last window of the wizard I always end-up with this message "An
internal error occured", nothing else !, and I can do nothing but close the
window !!
I searched microsoft KB and came across a referenced issue concerning this
process !
http://support.microsoft.com/search/preview.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q313494
I called Microsoft helpdesk but it would be to expensive for me to get their
help !
As I can't do otherwise I'm desperately looking for a kind help from some
people who managed to solve the problem or found a solution around this
problem !
Help me please !!
We're in a small business and definitely and urgently need this certificate
!!
Thanks very much in advance for your kind help !
Cedric !
