Your problem may be that you're trying to put together a round table
using a public newsgroup, accessible by anyone at any level. You seem
to want the round table to consist of the people who have done what
you're doing, which doesn't describe the vast majority here.

I'll ignore that an IIS security group isn't even close to the place
for a discussion such as this, and I'll be honest with you. I
personally find that round table discussions such as what you propose
usually provide only one-sided benefits. I'm usually not on that
side, and end up spending my time solving other people's issues
instead of my own.

You mentioned you were at a Fortune 5 company. That means you have
near-unlimited access to the best technical minds in the world. While
some of us might be close, I'd venture to guess that nobody in this
group is of the caliber you seem to seek. You might be better
contacting the leading technical researchers in web farming directly.

And for what it's worth, I don't think you'll ever find a standard
solution. In fact, unless an organization and their tasks closely
mirror yours, you'll likely find much of their experiences irrelevant.
Even if you design a standard that works for you, by the time you know
what it is your needs will have changed.
