This post is just for future reference in case people hit the same problem
as my current company did. A partial work around was found after a long MSDN
Support call.
There is currently an incompatibility bug between the Intel(R) Active
Management Technology services and Microsoft Authenticode. The platform this
issue was found is a Fujitsu 8410 Lifebook computer. Having factory settings
and enabling Authenticode by changing the AuthenticodeEnabled registry key
to 1 will make the computer behave very very slow (unusable) at the first
reboot. Clearly there is an incompatibility problem between those two
technologies and if it's an Authenticode bug or Intel AMT code noncompliance
remains to be investigated. The solution is to disable the 3 services AMT
owns and things come back to normal.
