Security Token: connect as

Good morning,

I'd appreciate it if anyone had feedback on this particular scenario.

It is my understanding that a process' primary thread is allocated
a security/access token upon creation.

My question is: How does one reproduce (through software) the 'Connect As'
functionality provided by the Windows OS (XP/2000/2003)?

I've reviewed the LogonUser function to great extent. Unfortunately, I don't
see how I can use it to log onto a server existing in a workgroup (on another network).

--------
SCENARIO
--------

CLIENTS
IP: private address
OS: can be either: Windows XP/2000/2003
Domain: testdomain

SERVER
IP: public address
OS: can be either: Windows XP/2000/2003
Domain: N/A (belongs to a workgroup)

NOTE: a user on the client can connect to the server using the Windows
'Connect As' UI.
