In my .net app, the user can open a Word doc as described in KB-307603. It
works fine on my machine, but when the app is built and installed on a
server, the user is presented with what looks like 3 network login windows
before being informed that access is denied. The path and document listed on
the error page is correct - the user can cut and paste this info into the Run
and the document comes up in Word as expected.
I have tried to implement the indentity impersonation fixes in KB-842789 to
no avail. When I hard-coded a local c:\ file in the app, it worked fine.
Going out on the network is the problem.
Instead of rebuilding and re-installing the app, I test it by going to
another machine and bringing up the startup form from there, enabling me to
navigate through the app to the point where the doc should open.
