Hi,
I'm desperate here and hope someone can give me a hint with this.
I need to deploy a .net application on a Windows Share. It is signed
with a strong name and I can create the policies to let the application
run on a computer (policy created on enterprise level with LevelFinal
set to true).
How can I create the policy domain-wide? I tried the enterprise level of
the .net configuration tool, and created an msi package out of that and
assigned it to the Group Policy ("Default Domain Policy" - "Computer
Configuration" - "Software Settings" - "Software Installations"). But
still a security exception is thrown when users log on to the domain and
try to execute the app.
It's a bit strange for me that you have an enterprise level (=domain?)
for policy settings in .net Configuration applet but still need to
deploy an msi package via Group Policy; that's however what Microsoft
suggests in (1), if I get that right. Maybe someone can give me a hint
on that?
Thanks a lot for any help!
