https and image caching

Hi,

I have a page that displays one image many times.
I configured my site to require a certificate i.e. my site
is now requested via https and not http.
The problem is that the first time my page is requested,
this same image is being downloaded many times on the same
page instead of being downloaded only once.
How can i solve this problem.
