We are currently in the process of gathering customer feedback in
preparation of planning out our next release of the Microsoft .NET
Framework.
One of the tools which ships with the Microsoft .NET Framework is the
Framework Configuration tool (mscorcfg).
This tool is a Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in which is used to
configure several aspects of the .NET Framework. If you are unfamiliar with
the tool, see the following url for information:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/cptools/htm
l/cpconnetframeworkadministrationtoolmscorcfgmsc.asp
For those of you who have used the tool before, or are aware of the
functionality it provides, I'm hoping that you will take some time to
provide some feedback on your experience with it.
Specifically, I'd like to know:
1. Are you even aware that this tool exists?
2. If you do use the tool,
a) What are you using it for?
b) What functionality would you not be able to live without?
c) What functionality would you be able to live without?
d) If we no longer shipped the tool, what would your response be? Would
it adversly affect you?
Thank you very much for your feedback.
