Connecting the web application with AD and Form Authentication

I am using asp.net 1.0 and Sql Server 2000.

I need to retrieve Current (who currently loged in to machine) user personal
information(like his fullname and role etc) from Active Ditrectory.

Based on the role of the user,I have to deny access for some pages to
anonymous users.

I am not familiar with active directory and forms authentication.

Can anyone help me out regarding this as soon as possible?
