ASP.NET Security

I'm using windows authentication.

Once the session times out we are presented with the error page. Then
the user suppose click in the address bar of the browser and backspace
up to the original URL and we are back to work without having to re-
authenticate.

Upon timeout, the user's session variables should be cleared and they
should be returned to the initial page and should be required to login
again.

The prompt should come and ask the username and password. It is not
asking for me.

what is the solution for this?

share some ideas, it will be useful for me.

Thanks,
