Hi,
I posted this question last week. I am trying to rephrase the question here.

We are building an ASP.NET Web application using C# .Net. From one of the application pages users can submit the data files(.doc, .xls, etc.). In our application we need to verify that the uploaded file is virus free.

Is it possible to detect virus while the file is in memory as byte stream/ file stream? How?
What are the best practices to detect the virus in the data files uploaded by the users?

Please let me know if there is any documentation or sample available.

Thanks in advance.
Srini
