Hello
I'm hoping that some kind individual can offer a cunning way around a
printing problem I have. I am aware that I can enumerate network printers
if I am running my aspnet worker process as SYSTEM and impersonating the
user currently logged onto my machine because the account reads the printer
settings for HKEY_CURRENT_USER. However, if I impersonate another domain
user windows does not seem to load up their settings and so no network
printers are found. Can anyone suggest a way around this - is there some
method for loading up the impersonated users printer settings??
As a little aside, is it correct that for the ASPNET account to impersonate
a user all that is required is to give it the "Act as part of operating
system" right? I have tried this out and keep getting a memory violation
after the impersonated user has logged on. Is there something else that
needs adjusting or is this just bad luck? Many thanks for any help,
Joe
