Folder Protection

Can I use the path attribute in <location> to specify a
directory outside the project?

Under wwwroot I have 2 projects- FolderProtect and
DataPages. The files under DataPages must be accessed only
through FolderProtect. Earlier I had put DataPages folder
under FolderProtect and that worked.
But now I got to put it outside,and I'm not sure if its
still possible to protect it.
