Hi Mike,
Many thanks for your response, I've had a quick look
through the support articles and don't believe that any
of the articles fit the situation.
We haven't explicitly turned the view state off, but most
pages aren't posting back any content. Also the
redirection is occuring a lot more frequentely, say 1 in
15 requests.
There are spaces in the underlying directory structure.
The web site is not running on a specific port number.
Furthermore we are not changing the default path of the
authentication cookie.
I will look into using NetMon as you've suggested to see
what's going on on the server.
