Windows Integrated only throws a username/password dialog if the access was
denied by an ACL on the resource you want to access. Windows Integrated
authentication uses the credentials of the currently logged on user. If this
user doesn't have access you get prompted. There might be something in IE
that allows you to be not prompted (I think IE6 on Windows XP can take
advantage of a service called "Credential Manager"). You have to ask in the
IE newsgroup though.
