Problem with client certificates??

Hi everybody,
I have set up Certificate Services with a stand alone CA and trying to
authenticate a b2b project with client certificates....
What Server Cerificate (in IIS Secure Communication tab) should i choose?
When i try a Server Certificate from Verisign client authentication seems to
work fine (https request)....
but when i try the certificate that was created after the Certificate
Services setup (Root CA),
i get an "Page cannot be displayed - Server not found or DNS error" in the
client's browser!
Do i need to generate additional Server Certificates from my stand alone CA,
in order to set up IIS for client cerificate authentication?
Appreciate any usefull link
