Does the web.config file provide the ability to manage security on specific
pages based on a user being verified against an SQL server database.
Traditionally, I have checked a userID and password on the DB and if
validated place a Boolean into a Session Variable designating valid login;
however, I understand that the web.config file provides comprehensive
security? Can someone please elaborate or provide an example of how to do
this in .NET?
Thanks!
