you should have a look at the project OSVDB (Open Source Vulnerability
Database)..http://www.osvdb.org/

OSVDB is an independent and open source database created by and for the
community.
Our goal is to provide accurate, detailed, current, and unbiased
technical information.

have been working on and off on the project. it's a great effort put in
by the community..
it would help you in getting a few statistics required..
