Hello,
I have an email account where I recieve sensitive information which I
would like to keep private. I'm using GPG. Please excuse my ignorance,
I am an almost non-technical person (I have tried my best to google
this and searched through documentation.)
The mail server offers two ways to read mail: (1) ssh login with pine
as the only mail client. (2) pop3. I have a very limited shell account
on the server, just a text based UI with very few options. I cant
execute any command except lynx, pico, and pine.
My question is what is the easiest way to get mail to my machine
without using pop3 (the password is sent as plain text and can be
easily captured with a sniffer, right?) and without having to manually
login via ssh (a script?)
I want to be able to read the mail on my home system (linux),
encrypting and
decrypting the email messages, with replies seeming to come from the
mail server. I dont want (1) anyone to be able to read the messages
(2) anyone to be able to sniff my password.
Hopefully I posed this question clear enough.
