    The Usenix/ACM/Black-Hat-Briefings type conferences provide you with
    really cutting-edge information, but this may not be stuff you can
    easily take back with you and implement.

    RSA is probably a better fit for your needs.

    The SANS events would also be a good fit, have really excellent
    training sessions, and offer the added bonus of their GIAC security
    certifications.
