I don't think you read my posting correctly. I'm agreeing with your
statement. Big politics runs on big contributions. Congressional
representatives represent their contributors before their
constituancy. Money rules. No person (or company) would contribute
if they didn't think they would get something in return. Welcome to
reality. I just wanted to add some real numbers to a debate that
commonly is lacking in details and some understanding as to who runs
the CCIA with good reason to bash Microsloth.

I think you had better check that URL. It points to an article:
"FCC is Feeling the Heat"
which only remotely touches on the political "payback" issue.
