I have a Solaris machine which has two Ethernet
interfaces - each interface is connected to a seperate
switch.
When I type
arp -a
on the multihome machine, all the machines on one switch
should be on one interface - and all the machines on the
other switch should be the other interface - correct?
The only connection between the two switches should be
the multihome machine.
I'm seeing arp traffic from some machines on both network
interaces which I presume implies I have a wiring problem
since I'm trying to keep the traffice isolated.
The multihome machine is a server for both networks.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
