    hi,
If I install a modem then how could i make connections to different
numbers? I've already tried atdt x xxx xxxx but unfourtunetly this
doesn't work. Pherhaps if I did get it to work then could my users
make connections to different systems (without me knowing) too?
How can I restrict access to outside calls?
a little help would be very nice.
    thanks,

... Last night I gave up in disgust, I was getting disconnected every 30 seconds or so.The point is that when they first rolled out the MaxDSL connections many people were complaining about slow speeds and disconnections, Plusnet blamed everything from the street lights to Mrs Uptheroad's microwave until BT admitted there was a glitch and withdrew the mass upgrade tool so maybe they should listen to the people complaining about disconnections 'cos as sure as eggs is eggs for every person complaining in the Plusnet newsgroup there will be at least a dozen more who are getting disconnected but aren't vocal about it. ... I will have to go through a further test now, by connecting directly to the master socket, and disconnecting the extension circuit, to see if I can improve the line quality. ...
