    Hello,

Currently, we notice the following problem on some on our servers:

If a server is running Solaris 2.8 + BSM + cron + audit + ssh, the
/var/spool/cron/crontabs/XXXXX.au (for example: root.au) file will have a
"429..." tag in the first line of the file. This number means "nobody",
which will block cron jobs to be run by root. When we ssh into the system
and modify the cron job, root.au file will have this line and prevent the
cron job to be run later.

We have found the temporary way to fix this problem by:
    1. telnet to the server
    2. "crontab -e" the cron job
    3. the "429..." line will become "3..00" and the cron will be run without
    any problems.

Please notice that this is temporary solution (if next time we login to the
system by ssh, and modify the cron job, the first line will become "429..."
again and cron job won't be run).

We know this is a SSH bug in Solaris 2.8 only (that means running 2.6 or 2.7
    won't have the same problem).

Does anyone have permanent solution to fix this problem?

    Thanks,

    SC
