"easy to use" is a meaning of "simple" I did *NOT* have in mind.

Could you explain the meaning of "otherwise"? Does it mean "going
beyond default installation", does it mean "when it comes to other
harmful things (like local root exploits, etc.", or does it mean both
things?

Indeed. I am unsure if I will stick with Linux or switch to OpenBSD.
