actually netdate is writing an entry to wtmp because it is shifting the
clock. this is used to stil lenable you to see login times and reboot times.
if netdate is messing your wtmp while it wriitng is records, that simply
means, that netdate on your system is compiled with the wrong header files
and asumes another wtmp layout.
you can fix this by recompiling or opening a bug report with your
distributor.
