by using "su" as you suggested. This won't prevent people from loggin
in as oracle8.
A better solution is to install sudo, changing the password for oracle8
to something you do not tell, and create a "sudoers" file that allows
them to run the needed commands as oracle8
man sudo for details.
sudo is availabe at nearest PD repository, i think "liverpool" has it
in "depot-format" ready to run.
( there arn't much you can do with a hp-ux unless you install
additional (free) sw. Get used to it.)
