hi folks.
I am trying to figure out how to run crack 5.0a in network mode. I have
the crack directory on my master box nfs shared to everyone, and machine
slave A and slave B have the directory mounted. Rsh is enabled on the
slave machines, and 'rsh -l guest 1.2.3.4 "ls /home/guest"' works fine,
leading me to believe rsh is working fine. My conf/network.conf file
looks like this:
#name: power: nfs mounted?: username: mount dir
slaveA:11000:y:guest:/home/guest/crackmnt
slaveB:25000:y:guest:/home/guest/crackmnt
the command i run is
./Crack -network passwdfile
it looks like it is running the commands on each of the machines, but it
will only run cracker on slaveB. If I change slaveB to be less powerful
(5000), then it will only run cracker on slaveA. Also, cracker is not
running on the master computer.
If you have any idea what i'm doing wrong (or a better distributed
cracker that runs on linux/x86 and solaris/sparc), or need any more
info, please let me know.
Thanks in advance
Crotty
