I tried going to the Microsoft site, and apart from having to deal
with frames (gag), I didn't find anything that was not viewable
using Lynx.

That is strange. Again I could browse this URL (including looking at
details of vulnerabilities) using Lynx without resorting to putting
my brain in raw HTML mode. So what is the deal? Is it the case that
Netscape without active scripting/activeX enabled is more limited
in what it can cope with than Lynx. Or have I just failed to find
some feature that requires it?
With Lynx you can tell servers that you are any kind of browser you
like. If Netscape has a similar feature you might be able to view
the troublesome pages by getting it to pretend to the Microsoft server
it is actually Lynx?
