If, OTOH, you're using a recent Solaris,
'echo $PATH > ~/.ssh/environment'
-- on Solaris initial PATH is set in /etc/default/login and AFAIK
the only way to keep it is to "UseLogin yes", which, conveniently,
turns off X forwarding.
