You are of course correct. The shape of the box has nothing whatoever to
do with anything:-
1. A router doesn't have a dumbass user connected to it via keyboard.
2. A router doesn't have a dumbass user connected to it via keyboard
with full administrative rights who will click on anything that looks
vaguely like a dialogue box.
3. A router doesn't have a dumbass user connected to it via keyboard
with full administrative rights who will install any software from any
source without question.
4. When was the last time you saw an entry in add/remove programs for a
router?
5. I've never seen NAT crash and expose a system.
6. I've never see a router pop up questions that give the clueless user
a 50/50 chance of choosing the right answer to protect their system.
7. I've yet to see a virus/trojan that will uninstall a router and
replace it with placebo or disable parts of it.
I'll stick with my router & hardware firewalls thanks.
