Hello,

Ran across this today and thought the readers of this netgroup would
be interested.

There's a working group in the IETF that is chartered to produce a
protocol for network configuration:

http://ops.ietf.org/netconf/

One of the documents produced is a way to tranfer the NETCONF XML
configuration file over SSH using a subsystem:

Using the NETCONF Configuration Protocol over Secure Shell (SSH)
       draft-ietf-netconf-ssh-03.txt

     Abstract

This document describes a method for invoking and running the
NETCONF configuration protocol within a Secure Shell (SSH)
    session as an SSH subsystem.

Figured it would affect some of the people in this group.
