Hi group,
a quick question:
On my pc I run Reflection-X, then I ssh to a unix server (alya) with x11
tunnelling. This is fine. On alya I can start xterm - it pops up on the
local display on the pc. The DISPLAY variable on alya is automatically
set alya:10.0. From alya I have to login to another server, lepus, which
doesn't run ssh. I use either telnet or rlogin. I don't have a normal shell
there, just a program which tries to start some graphics. It asks what
to set the display to, I can choose localhost or fx alya:10.0.
But when I do the latter, the graphics don't start.
How can I make ssh on alya accept X connections for lepus - and forward
them over the ssh tunnel to my pc?
As root I can login to lepus, and using xauth add/list (with the
MIT-cookie from alya) and setting the display to alya:10.0, I *can* get
the display shown. But I need this for the user which doesn't have a
normal shell - I cannot set xauth and so on for that user.
Please..
