Hi.
I'm trying to tunnel a samba connection from a Win98 client to a Linux
server over an ssh tunnel, using Putty.
I've mapped the drive and it seems to be kind of mostly working. I can read
and write files by copying / pasting, or open them using 'send to'.
The trouble is, when I double-click on a file to open it, or right-click on
it and select 'open', I get a lengthy delay followed by the error
'directory is invalid'.
Weird huh?
I've searched google and discovered that various people have asked about
this before but no-one seems to have wanted to answer them. Anyone fancy
making history and explaining what the problem is, and what to do about it?
Cheers for any help,
Joe
