Progress bar in batch mode

Hi, I would like to add the progress bar when scp'ing in batch mode.
Can this be done?

$ scp -B <file> <user>@<host>:<dir>/

The reason is that I'm saving the sysout from the job, and for debuging
purposes it would be nice to have some output from scp.

Verbose "-v" gives to much unnecessary information, but may be a last
resort.
