Hi all,
after some people told me that xhost is not secure, I use ssh -X now if
I have to use programs under X, KDE, ... as root on my local linux
system. Though I'm not sure if xhost is really a security problem on a
local machine.
How much processor performance does a "ssh -X root@localhost" cost? Is
there more network traffic? Could there be any problems or is it totally
stupid what I am doing? I don't see any problems with simple
configuration tools but what about CD-burning or 3D-Action games?
Thanks in advance for your comments.
Stefan
