Hi,
I look after some IRIX boxes, which used to connect to some servers
running HPUX 11i via ssh. This all worked fine, until the IRIX boxes were
rebooted. Now they cannot connect to the HPUX machines, which gives the
reply:
OpenSSH_3.7.1p2, SSH protocols 1.5/2.0, OpenSSL 0.9.6j 10 Apr 2003 debug1:
Reading configuration data /etc/ssh/ssh_config debug1: Connecting to hpc
[193.61.107.76] port 22. debug1: Connection established.
debug1: identity file /.ssh/identity type -1 debug1: identity file
/.ssh/id_rsa type -1 debug1: identity file /.ssh/id_dsa type -1
ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host debug1:
Calling cleanup 0x10022920(0x0)
However from the IRIX machine I can connect vi ssh to other servers
running sshd with no problem.
Most of the googling I have done turned up problems with tcpwrappers, but
to my knowledge the HPUX boxes do not run this, at least they do not have
the relevent /etc/hosts.* files.
any help would be appreciated.
