I'm trying to set up public/private keys and I'm not having any success.
My server is running OpenSSH on OS X, and the client is the latest
Putty on XP. I can log in no problem normally by manually entering a
pw.
Here's what I've tried so far.
For all of the tests, I have my username set in putty, and I have putty
set to use my private key file filename.PPK. On the server side, I've
been placing the public key in ~/.ssh/authorized_keys
I've created keys (rsa1, rsa, and dsa) using putty and moved the public
key over with no luck. I've also tried making the key pair using
ssh-keygen with no luck, and yes, I import the key into Putty Keygen
and save it from there.
I keep getting "Server refused our key".
Anyone know why? I think everything looks ok on the server side (ie.
sshd_config) but I'm open to ideas.
Thanks
