SSH and Lawson Insight desktop (LID)

Hi,
We have an AIX system running Lawson Application. Windows users use a
thick client called Lawson Insight Desktop or LID to connect Lawson
applications on the AIX server. This thick client internally uses
telnet to connect to the AIX server. This application provides a GUI
interface for users.
   As we all know, telnet is not secure and I want to use SSH instead
of telnet. Lawson insight desktop does not have any options to use
ssh. By default this application connects to port 23. I can setup ssh
on port 23, but still without a ssh client, LID will not work.
   Any workarounds or suggestion appreciated.
