"failed password" not logged

    Hi -

    I wonder if there is a way to get "failed password" logged by sshd. I
    sought a long time in the newsgroup, and the only track I found is to put
    UsePrivilegeSeparation to "no", which I guess it is far to be a good idea !

    I'm running OpenSSH version 3.4p1-1.woody. (stable)

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
