Solaris 9 sshd<---> Cygwin/X ssh Problems

I think that I have a unique problem - I have read all the Solaris ssh
or remote xdm threads and I haven't come across this:
I am trying to connect via ssh to my Ultra 10 (Solaris 9) with my
    Windows 2000 service pack 4 laptop w/the latest Cygwin/X. I can login
to the Ultra 10 just fine, but I cannot forward X11. I do have the
sshd_conf file set to forward X, and I have the cygwin/X ssh_conf file
set to forward X. When I try to run xclock, xterm, or opera (or
anything X related) from the ssh shell prompt the process gets started
in the Ultra 10, but it does not display on the Cygwin/X.
I reversed the roles of the two machines making Cygwin/X laptop the
server and the Ultra 10(Solaris 9) the client. I made sure that the
sshd_conf & ssh_conf files on both machines were identical. With this
configuration I can run any X-program that I want on from the Ultra
10(client) on the server (Cygwin/X laptop) and have it display
    properly on the client.
To make sure I am not crazy, I set up another computer (desktop
this time) with windows 2000 running Cygwin/X. I set up the server
and the client and tried all of the above again with the same results.
I then ran Cygwin/X-desktop to Cygwin/X laptop. I tried connecting
first with the laptop as the server and then with the desktop as the
server and both configuration worked fine. On all the machines the
sshd_conf and the ssh_conf are exactly the same.
The best I can figure is that there may be some funky magic on
Solaris 9. I have read that there may be a font issue, but I think
that is only an issue with the remote xdm login, but I don't really
    know - I haven't tried that.
Just a small recap ssh shell works fine with the Ultra 10 (Solaris
    9) but it does not forward X properly with a windows 2000(desktop and
    laptop) running Cygwin/X's ssh client.

    Thanks to any who reply.
