Simplify your life. Go with PopTop on your Linux system,
and use the PPTP client that is already on your Winblows box.

(Follow the PoPtop instructions closely, and make sure that you
have the latest patches for your Winblows PPTP client)

See: http://www.poptop.org

This will give you:

    1. PPTP with 128 bit RC4 encryption.
    2. MSchapV2 authentication.
    3. VPN.
    4. WinBlows, Linux, and WinCE compatibility.
    5. Last but not least, something that works :-)

Hint: You will need to open port 1723 on your firewall for
transport of PPTP. Also open protocol 47 for the MSChapV2
authentication.

P.S. Don't reply to my email address. It will not work. Over 200
SPAMs/day has made me take a more defensive posture.
If you decide to send email, you might want to think about
where that email is actually going to go. It will either bounce
back at your email server, and send email to your postmaster,
or it will bounce back at your ISP, and send email to your
ISP postmaster, but it certainly will not arrive in my inbox.
