Hello,
I am trying to create a server key for a personal website that only
needs a key and crt for SSL encryption. The problem is that the
command '/usr/bin/openssl genrsa -des3 1024' demands a passphrase and
I cannot figure out how to disable this. I don't want a passphrase
because I want the server to be able to be restarted remotely. There
is no way to do this if the webserver stops and waits for someone to
key in the passphrase upon startup. I am running Red Hat 9 and Apache.
(Alternately, if someone can tell me how to have a passphrase but to
also avoid the above problem, I would be interested in that.)
Thanks,
Tad
