Hi folks,
I have a problem when trying to connect to my F-Secure SSH Server on Windows
2000:
The username includes a whitespace, e.g. "firstname lastname". The server
tells me, that the username includes illegal characters and closes the
connection. The Windows event log shows the following information:
illegal user name : 'User name contains illegal characters. (user '(null)',
client address '127.0.0.1:3523', requested service '(null)')'
Strange about that: When I use the server from www.ssh.com no error is
raised and password authentication succeeds. Does the F-Secure server have
some setting where whitespaces in usernames can be (dis)allowed?
Thanks for your help!
Kindest regards,
Alex
