folks, here's the problem:

when i try to ssh to one of our work ssh servers, it gets to the
SSH2_MSG_SERVICE_ACCEPT message, then sits quietly for a couple of
minutes, then the server disconnects. i don't have root access to the
server so i can't run it in debug mode.

does anyone know what's going on during this time, and how, as a user, i
might fix the problem. fortunately we have a second server i can use, but
it's considerably further away and so latency is more noticeable than on
the nearer one.

any help would be appreciated. thanks.
