Installed Cygwin on XP pro wiht sshd. sshd will start manually using
/etc/rc.d/init.d/sshd star or /usr/sbin/sshd.exe, but will not start
automatically as service. I run:
cygrunsrv -I sshd -p /usr/sbin/sshd.exe
when I try to start it using:
cygrunsrv -S sshd
cygrunsrv: Error starting a service: QueryServiceSTatus: Win32 error
1062:
The service has not been started.
The Event viewer gives me:
The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( sshd ) cannot be found.
The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or
message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may
be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see
Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the
event: sshd : PID 2672 : starting service `sshd' failed: execv: 255,
error 255
I tried to fix the paths in registry...didn't help.
Please any info or help I would really appreciate it.
Thanks,
Beau
