Possibly one of the best of all reasons is that many individuals and
companies filter html out of their newsgroup (and e-mail) traffic. That
means that your message hits the bit-bucket unread and you are, in fact,
not 'expressing yourself'at all, whereas, had you simply mastered the world
of simple speech and ASCII text,you could have communicated volumes.
To tell the truth, there is nothing I wish from a newsgroup that cannot be
well-expressed in words by a literate writer.
