Actually, considering portability issues, that's the wrong way (if the
challenge may be longer than thirty characters, that is), OpenSSH
should really behave differently. (But I agree that it's the sensible
choice, considering how often one needs to update OpenSSH).

Anyway, I'll try to test the patch I made and submit it.
