Hi
I have two machines at work, one running W2K, and one running Red Hat
7.2.
For over a yearI was able to ssh from my home machine (running W2K)
into the Linux machine. Last friday, I installed the openssh server on
the W2K machine at work. To test out the connection, I tried to ssh
from the Linux machine (after the warnings that always appear with a
first time connection) to the W2K at work. I also tried the reverse,
ssh from the W2K at work to the Linux. It was fine. (Essentially, the
two machines at work commute).
My problem is that now I can no longer ssh into the Linux machine
(though I can ssh into the W2K) at work. Did I do something that have
changed the settings of sshd on Linux while testing out the
connection? I have not changed sshd configuration. We have a VPN at
work, but if it was the VPN, I would not be able to get to the W2K
either. Any suggestions?
I log on with a password, not with the keys.
My sshd on linux starts automatically at bootime. Would it help if I
change the sshd_config to make it look for the keys? If so, where do I
put the keys so putty can find them?? Thanks in advance.
SENG
