The RPM versions of what is loaded on the RH 7.0 box is:
[jimw@web jimw]$ rpm -qa|grep openss
openssh-askpass-3.1p1-5
openssl-devel-0.9.6-13
openssh-3.1p1-5
openssh-askpass-gnome-3.1p1-5
openssh-server-3.1p1-5
openssl-perl-0.9.6-13
openssl095a-0.9.5a-18
openssl-0.9.6-13
openssh-clients-3.1p1-5
openssl-python-0.9.6-13
[jimw@web jimw]$
The clients are using pscp ver 0.53b. I wonder if the version has anything
to do with this though. Does a SCP connection use the bash shell or not?
If not then all the shell start up scripts in the world will have no effect.
I've seen no effect so far. If the sshd doesn't use a shell to create the
files, does the protocol provide a way to define the mode?
